Everything you need to know about Touchbase

🚀 Getting Started

Welcome to Touchbase! Here's how to get up and running:

  1. Sign in with your Google account
  2. Add a contact - Enter their name, phone number, and timezone
  3. Choose a coverage template - Pick a schedule that works for them
  4. Calls start automatically - They'll receive friendly check-ins at the scheduled times
Tip: Add yourself as a contact first to experience exactly what your loved ones will hear!

What happens when they receive a call?

When Touchbase calls, they'll hear a friendly prompt: "This is Touchbase calling. Touch any key to hear your message." One button press confirms they're there, and the content plays. No passwords, no apps, no confusion.

📞 Check-in Types

Touchbase offers 7 types of check-ins, all included with your subscription:

🌅 Morning Messenger

Start their day with a friendly greeting that includes today's date and local weather. A bright, cheerful voice that says "good morning" when family can't be there.

🔄 Daily Routine

Gentle reminders for daily activities—appointments, taking a walk, or "don't forget lunch." You customize the message; we deliver it warmly.

🌙 Evening Wind-down

A calming end-of-day check-in with a preview of tomorrow. The phone call equivalent of tucking someone in and saying goodnight.

❓ Quick Question

A simple "How are you feeling today?" answered with one button press. You see the response instantly—peace of mind in 30 seconds.

🎉 Celebrations & Events

Birthday calls, anniversary messages, or "thinking of you" moments. Set them as one-time or yearly recurring. Perfect for special occasions.

🧘 Mindfulness Moment

A brief guided breathing exercise delivered by phone. Two minutes of calm in the middle of their day—no app required.

📻 Touchbase Radio

News headlines, sports scores, weather, music, and audiobooks—on-demand audio entertainment. Like having a friendly radio host call them personally.

📅 Scheduling Calls

Each contact can have up to 5 scheduled check-ins per day. You control the timing:

Setting Up Check-ins

  1. Click on a contact to open their details
  2. Tap the + Add Check-in button
  3. Choose the check-in type
  4. Set the time (uses the contact's timezone)
  5. Save your changes

Silent Days

Need to skip certain days? Each check-in can have "Silent Days" where it won't call. Perfect for weekends or when you know they'll be unavailable.

Editing Check-ins

Click the pencil icon (✏️) next to any check-in to change its time, silent days, or disable it temporarily.

Note: All scheduled calls use the contact's timezone, so a 9am Morning Messenger happens at 9am their time.

📻 Touchbase Radio

Touchbase Radio is on-demand audio entertainment delivered by phone. Perfect for people who struggle with screens but love staying informed.

You can also listen to Touchbase Radio content on the web at radio.touchbase.life. Great for previewing content or listening yourself!

Adding More Contacts

Need more people? Simply tap + Add Person on the home screen. If you've used all your slots, you'll be taken to checkout to add more:

You can use coupon codes at checkout for discounts or free add-ons.

Reducing Your Bill

To reduce your subscription cost, simply delete or archive a contact. After removing them, you'll be asked if you want to remove that slot from your bill.

Billing & Proration

All billing changes are prorated and aligned to your main subscription date:

This means you have one billing date for everything, and you're always charged fairly for what you use.

Tip: Editing a contact (changing their name or phone number) doesn't affect billing—perfect for reassigning a slot to someone else.

Managing Payment

Go to Settings → Billing & payment to:

Note: If you cancel, your service continues until the end of your billing period. Your data is preserved.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Calls not going through?

Wrong weather being reported?

Set the contact's zip code in their profile to ensure accurate local weather.

What phone number will they see?

Calls come from a dedicated Touchbase number. We recommend saving it in their contacts as "Touchbase" so they recognize it.

What if they don't answer?

You'll see "Missed" in your dashboard. The next scheduled check-in will still go out at its normal time.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored securely in the United States on Google Cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption.
