Touchbase ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our service.
Information We Collect
Account Information
- Your information: Name, email address (from Google or Facebook Sign-In), phone number, timezone, and zip code
- Contact information: Names and phone numbers of people you add to receive calls
Usage Information
- Call history: When calls were made, whether they were answered or missed, call duration
- Check-in responses: Quick Question ratings (1-5 scale or yes/no responses)
- Schedule data: Check-in times and types you configure
Payment Information
- Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number.
- We store your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Touchbase service (making scheduled phone calls)
- To send you notifications about check-in activity (if enabled)
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To improve our service and develop new features
- To respond to your support requests
Information Sharing
We do NOT sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers: Telnyx (phone calls), Stripe (payments), Google Cloud (hosting)
- Law enforcement: We are not above the law. We will fully cooperate with law enforcement authorities and comply with valid legal requests (subpoenas, court orders, warrants, etc.) for user data
- Legal requirements: If otherwise required by law or to protect our rights
Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data:
- All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
- Data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States
- Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only
- We regularly review and update our security practices
Important Security Notice: Touchbase is an entertainment service. While we implement standard security measures and do our best to protect your data, this service does NOT provide end-to-end encryption and should not be used to transmit sensitive medical, financial, or confidential information. For secure communications, please use services specifically designed for that purpose.
Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active
- Call recordings (if any) are deleted after 90 days
- You can request deletion of your data at any time
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: View all data we have about you
- Export: Download your data (Settings → Export my data)
- Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Correct: Update your information at any time in Settings
Children's Privacy
Touchbase is not intended for use by children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the app.
